i think i want to have another baby. no, i am not pregnant this second and no, i am not saying i want to get pregnant like yesterday. i am just thinking maybe, someday in the near future i want to add a third to our sweet little family of four.


i know what many of you are thinking (my husband included), why would you want to start over again. you have two gorgeous healthy children, one who is potty trained and about to be in preschool and another who is closing the door on all things baby and headed to toddler hood. you are so close to being done with diaper bags and bottles, cribs and onsies why would you want to go back?

because while being able to leave all those things behind is quite appealing. the joys of having another little in the house trumps that over and over again. there is nothing better(for me at least) then in the middle of the night when the house is quiet and its just momma and baby snuggled up in a rocking chair for a 3am feeding and the only sounds that can be heard are your newborns little breaths. and when the weight of their little bodies rests in your arms and you think your heart will certainly burst from being so full.


i know that it is not always bliss and that it will be hard in more ways then one. but when i look at my babies i think how can it be fair to the world for corey and i not to have more babies. i mean come on they are simply perfect.


their needs to be at least one more...or two...or three.....:)

i am extremely fortunate that my hubby is able to support us on his salary alone so that i can be home with our babies. i absolutely love being a stay-at-home mom. i blog about the fabulous and the not so fabulous parts of being a stay-at-home mom or, "my life in sweats."

this is a post from this past april that i wrote about being a momma. it pretty much sums up my blog and my life for that matter.

Mommyhood

I love being a mom. It is hands down the best job I have ever had. It is truly the honor of my life to be Gracie and Noah's Mother.

That being said sometimes this blessed job is so hard I feel like I am crawling to the finish line at the end of the day. But when you cross the finish line this is your reward.



So you start the race again just hoping not only that you finish but that you cross that line fists pumping without one single bead of sweat. Today will be that day...I hope.

Sleepy Wrap rocks my world!

have i told you before how much i love my sleepy wrap?

Of course i have because it's AMAZING!

i have been using it since noah was 1 week old.


anytime i need to get things done or i need both my hands (i.e. laundry, cooking, chasing sassy around the world) you can bet i have noey in the sleepy wrap. but on saturday it rocked my world when i used it to carry my 22.5lb 1yr old up to the natural bridge in red river gorge.


i'll admit, even though i adore my wrap i had never used it like this before and was nervous on how noah and i would do. well it exceeded my expectations by far. noah even fell asleep and stayed asleep the whole way down.


i guess they don't call it the "sleepy" wrap for nothing ;).

anyway just thought you should know. i have said it before and i will say it again, if you don't have a sleepy wrap and you have a baby go get one already!!!

Red River Gorge

this past weekend we were invited on an impromptu trip to red river gorge for the weekend.


feeling spontaneous and a little crazy, corey and i jumped on the chance to get away with our little family and good friends. i am so glad we did. it was very relaxing. we had no plans so we just chilled out.

we did go on a hike up to the natural bridge.

it was a challenge hiking with two 1yr old's and two 3yr old's to say the least. but the view was amazing and well worth it.


we took some cool pictures of the scenery. however, i liked the view from inside the cabin best.



i am yet to see anything as beautiful as those sweet little faces.

eureka!!

i have done it. i have figured it out. the complicated world of juggling the afternoon nap of a 1 year old and a 3 year old that is. i feel like the freaking champion of the world right now because i have a plan. if you know me i am a plan freak. i have been scheduling the crap out of my kids lives since they were born.

here is my secret...

so gracie has proven to me time and time again that she is indeed not ready to be without an afternoon nap. but she just wasn't tired enough to lay down by 1pm which is noah's nap time. we spent many a stressful afternoon crying (she and i), battling, bribing over nap time. so this week i have been conducting an experiment. after i put noey down at one, i give grace an hour of my full attention we play, laugh and snuggle on the couch while watching her princess movie of choice. after our hour of fun is over which is usually between 2-2:30pm, i lay her down for a little "rest time." and knock on wood it works!!!! she has been napping for an hour and a half to two hours!! which is perfect because noey god love him, gives me at least 3hrs sometimes 4 everyday so they wake up around the same time.

lord have mercy it has been amazing to have my time back. what do i use my free time for you might wonder. do i clean, read, catch up on my reality tv obsession? no, i nap! there i said it. that's right i nap when my kids nap. don't judge i know i should do other things but oh my i love to get in my bed in the middle of the day and rest my eyes for an hour or so. its just what i need to recharge so i can get right back to chasing my lovies the rest of the day.

hopefully i didn't jinx myself by sharing. that would be devastating, to say the least.

we made it through the birthday bash. barely. just kidding it was wonderful, great people, yummy food (i think i didn't get a chance to eat), lots and lots and lots of gifts and the best part sassy had so much fun.

all of our party guests were unbelievably generous. so i have been sifting through toys the past few days to make room for the new stuff. i filled three large containers full and it still looks like toys r us exploded in our toy room.

gracie is obsessed with taylor lautner. mostly because of shark boy and lava girl, which she is not aloud to watch anymore (i'll save the reason for another post). so she is watching new moon right now. she just had to get a fix. i love her.

where did the past three years go? i swear, i blinked and we went from lazy mornings snuggling in my bed with a cup of coffee for me and a warm bottle for her.


to now where she prefers sunny delight and hannah montana.


she is still my girl though.


she will always be my girl.


the only little in the world that made me a momma for the first time three years ago today.
